Tour Plan

Day 1:Arrival at Kutaisi airport. Check in a hotel. Kutaisi city sightseeing tour

Kutaisians’ are known for their sense of humor. If you want to stay in a good mood for the rest of your arrival in Georgia, you must visit the city. After a short rest, we will start city sightseeing in Kutaisi, which according to the legend was the ultimate destination of the Jason and Argonauts searching for the Golden Fleece. Visit Bagrati Cathedral (11th century), one of the best samples of medieval architecture towering over Kutaisi and visible from almost all points in the city. Next stop is the Gelati Academy, built by King David the Builder in the 12th century. Gelati was the center of spiritual and scientific life of the Middle Ages, the tomb of Georgian kings and a cult place for pilgrims. It is under UNESCO protection as an object of cultural and historical legacy. Continue to Motsameta - a quiet Monastery buried in the heart of mountains, forests and rivers from where opens a heavenly view of mountains and the gorge of the river Tskhaltsitela. Day 2: Kutaisi – Vardzia – Rabati – Borjomi

After breakfast and checking out in the morning, we will start our unforgettable tour by moving to the east. Our first touristy destination will be Rabati Castle in Akhaltsikhe – a fortress rebuilt in the 9th century with picturesque views over the city and the fortress itself. It is located on the western suburbs and can be seen practically from anywhere in the city. After Rabati, we will continue driving on a curvy way to Vardzia Cave Town, which was built in the 12-13th centuries during the rule of George III and his daughter Queen Tamar for the purpose of protection. Vardzia is not a just a set of random rooms cut in rocks. It is a multi-storied complex with streets, tunnels and stairs leading to monasteries, temples, baths, libraries, dwelling houses and so forth. The day will surely make your trip the most memorable ever. Overnight in Borjomi.

Day 3: Rafting on the river Mtkvari

After breakfast, we are going to rafting on the river Mtkvari. We will start from Borjomi and finish in Likani. Its distance is 10 km, the difficulty of the river III-IV category (May, June), I-III category (July, August, September). Estimated time is 1 hour. Overnight in Borjomi.

Day 4: Free day. On this day, you can have an optional tour, which will be an extra cost.

After breakfast, the day starts with Lake Kakhisi, whose landscape doesnot leave you indifferent. It is a very popular hiking trail. The road is very beautiful and the lake incredible. The lake has two shores: one is for camping and the other - to pick wild berries. It is the perfect place for relaxation. Overnight in Borjomi.

Day 5: Driving quadracycles and riding on horses

After breakfast, we will drive quadracycles in mountainous area. Next, you will ride on horses in Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. Free time. Overnight in Borjomi.

Day 6: After breakfast. You will check out from the Borjomi hotel and transfer to the Kutaisi airport.
